AgPlus High-reflectivity Mirrors

Ocean Optics AgPlus High-reflectivity Mirrors are manufactured using a proprietary process that produces silver reflecting layers in dielectric thin films. The resulting coatings have excellent reflectivity -- >95% over the visible and NIR wavelength range and over a wide range of angles of incidence.

The mirrors' dielectric coatings protect the silver from oxidation and enhance reflectivity in the wavelength range of interest. Additionally, these coatings are environmentally stable and can be applied to standard optical substrates to produce mirrors and filters.

Pairs of AgPlus mirrors (item SAG+UPG) are available for $290.

Features

  • >95% reflectivity in VIS-NIR

  • Optimum reflectivity over a wide range of angles of incidence

  • Environmentally stable coating

  • Available in OEM quantities

AgPlus mirrors are used in the Ocean Optics USB2000-FLG time-gated emission spectrofluorometer. In-house tests of these systems have shown a 10-35% increase in system sensitivity compared to units made with conventional aluminum-coated mirrors. Additionally, AgPlus Mirrors can be used in our HR bench for high-resolution measurements in low-light level experiments.

AgPlus High-reflectivity Mirrors are available as OEM components as well. For more information contact an Ocean Optics Applications Scientist.

AgPlus High-reflectivity Mirrors have 95% reflectivity over the VIS-NIR range.
