OTF Announces the appointment of Randel Mercer,

VP,Business Devlopment Sales & Marketing

Largo, FL. – February 2010 – Ocean Thin Films (OTF) has announced the appointment of Randel Mercer as Vice President, Sales & Marketing where he has responsibility for the sales and marketing functions of OTF. Reporting to President Phil Buchsbaum and joining the Ocean Thin Films Board of Directors, Randel has a strong technical and managerial background and brings a great deal of experience at growing and managing a sales organization, both direct and distribution channels, over a large geographic footprint from multiple facilities.

Prior to joining OTF, Randel was Vice President/Director of CoorsTek, where he was responsible for International sales/distribution and new product development of a $100M business unit. At CoorsTek Mr. Mercer previously held positions as Director of Business Development, Director of Sales & Marketing and Business Manager, where he created a company wide business development effort focused on growth.

Randel previously spent four years at Morgan Matroc, starting his tenure as Product Manager and later as the Marketing Manager where he generated strategic product planning for the aerospace, defense, telecommunications, semiconductor, laser and medical device markets.

Randel holds a M.B.A. from Santa Clara University, a M.S. Materials Science Engineering from U.C. San Diego, and a B.S. Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science Engineering from U.C. Berkeley.
