Description:	Ocean Optics is the worldwide leader in miniature fiber optic spectroscopy and optical-sensing components, with applications ranging from medical diagnostics inside human bodies to environmental monitoring inside active volcanoes. Our fast-growing optical-sensing and photonics business requires a research scientist that will be responsible to participate in the overall activities of sensor development, testing and applications.
Qualifications/ Requirements:	Bachelor or Master Degree in Chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or equivalent industry experience is required Experience in photochemistry, chemometric techniques and modeling Background in optical polymer materials and coatings is a plus Basic Software troubleshooting skills. Basic electronics knowledge Patient, positive, strong desire to help others solve problems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
