| Description: |
Ocean Optics is the worldwide leader in miniature fiber
optic spectroscopy and optical-sensing components, with applications
ranging from medical diagnostics inside human bodies to environmental
monitoring inside active volcanoes. Our fast-growing optical-sensing and
photonics business requires a research scientist that will be
responsible to participate in the overall activities of sensor
development, testing and applications. |
| Qualifications/ Requirements: |
-
Bachelor or Master
Degree in
Chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science,
or equivalent industry experience is required
-
Experience in
photochemistry, chemometric techniques and modeling
-
Background in
optical polymer materials and coatings is a plus
-
Basic Software
troubleshooting skills.
-
Basic electronics
knowledge
-
Patient, positive,
strong desire to help others solve problems.
-
Excellent verbal and
written communication skills.
-
Experience with
Scientific instrumentation installation, and training, is a plus.
